Barcelona Part 2

Friday 28th November

We got up early today knowing exactly where we wanted to go in Barcelona, map in hand with a route and the sun was shining. It wasn’t earlier though. We were woken up at 2am by thunder and lightning and more very heavy rain. We later found out that there had been a tornado in Malaga causing lots of damage to caravans in the area.

Visit number one was Casa Batllo designed by Antoni Gaudi in 1904, remodelling an existing house to create something out of this world. Te only flat surfaces were the floors. Every where you looked was colour, shapes and beauty. I’m just going to let you look at the photos, it was hard to capture everything but the photos will be better than my words.

Did you notice the sun i the outside shots. Dry and warm all day long. We went for lunch, another menu del dis with black rice and then pork in a creamy sauce for me and Lucy had the tuna salad and steak and chips. We think they made a mistake with the bill and I did query it with the waiter but including drinks  and sweet it came to €19. I think they forget to charge us for the drinks.

I’m splitting this blog into two pieces because there are a load more photos of our next destination.
